Abstract

Pseudomonas Aeruginosa is one of the infections that affects the chicken business greatly, causing significant mortality rates and resulting in financial loss. Plant-based remedies can serve as an alternative to the synthetic antibiotics farmers typically use to treat bacterial illnesses. The major organo-compounds and antibacterial properties of oregano essential oil are widely known. This study aims to evaluate the antibacterial effectiveness of Oregano (Origanum vulgareagainst Pseudomonas aeruginosa. After 72 hours, tests of OEO's antibacterial efficacy against Pseudomonas aeruginosa showed it was more effective than tylosin and amoxicillin.
